Picked up one indicator lens today, will pick up the other one tomorrow,
it simply got too wet standing in the rain at the junkyard, trying to get that bugger out.
Will mount them when weather conditions are suitable.

time for a list then...
a list of things that should be done (then it's up to the MOT to decide the rest)
outside
- new radiator (done)
- new headlights (done)
- new indicators
- new bonnet
- get bodywork sorted
mechanical
- new head gasket
- get head checked due to overheating
- get head skimmed & tested (if necessary)
- attach choke butterfly (removed by PO, god knows why)
- tighten/replace handbrake wire (handle points more up than a stiff c*ck)
(and when I get it running, i'll wash it.
Could have done it now, but the hose was way too short)

a little progress..
got home with the lights today, dismount the old ones went not-so-smooth due to certain adjusters mountings. They just didn't want to let go, only after some hard words and threats they did.
The "new" ones could have been sliding there like gloves, BUT I forgot the mountings and stuff (together with the indicators) on the junkyard, need to pick them up on monday.
Got a hint on what it all would look like though, and it looks better and better.
New indicators and a bonnet, then I'm happy for a while.
Up to come after that is to get the engine running
and after that it's off to the bodywork shop to get that a bit sorted out.
Oh, and I will post pics soon. Do have a lot in my digi,
just need to transfer them to the computer.

done the math...
...39 degrees centigrade = 102.2 degrees fahrenheit
...though today it's lower, at least I don't feel as bad as I did yesterday.
Tomorrow it might be some work done on the car again.
At least it will be off to the junkyard to get the lights and the indicators.

not too good
Not much done today and not tomorrow either, due to a very nasty flu. 39 centigrades fever (too lazy to figure it out in fahrenheit, sorry), and some heavy headache to top it all off. Been laying in the bed most of the day. But I'll get back on track.
On the positive side things can be noted though. I've got a set of front lights & indicators for 50 euros from the local junkyard. Will pick them up on Thursday.

new month, new blog
Well, even if this blog will be written in english, it's always good to post the first enter in two different languages, the problem was that the english version got delayed a bit longer than expected, but that's another story. Nuff said on that :-)
This blog could simply be described by the words "following a wreck on it's journey back to the roads". Since it would have taken too much money-for-nothing, to get the car I have now fixed up, just for the MOT failure things, I simply decided...to buy another Orion, damaged in a roedeer collision. It was quite emotionally too, since the colour was the same as the first car I had since I got my driver's license (totalled it 3 weeks after, but that's another story *cough cough*).
Oh well, back to the original subject. The work got started last weekend, budget-wise the limit is at 600 euro's, as much work as possible will be done by myself, the only thing (hopefully) that will be done professionally is the bodywork. Enough said, time to get busy with the biggest project so far. Will I succeed? =)

ny månad, ny blogg
Well well, även om denna blogg kommer att gå på engelska i fortsättningen, så är det kanske bäst att göra det första inlägget tvåspråkigt. Nuff said :-)
Denna blogg kan helt enkelt beskrivas med orden "följa ett bilvraks väg tillbaks till vägarna".
Det skulle kostat för mycket (kände jag iaf) att fixa upp den bilen jag har nu, bara för att få den igenom besiktningen nästa år, såå, vad gör man då?
Enkelt, köper en likadan, som för övrigt har samma färg som den första bilen man körde på allmän väg. Sedan att man skrotade den efter tre veckor var en annan femma *host host*.
Nåväl, tillbaks till det ursprungliga ämnet. Arbetet tjuvstartade i helgen, budgeten är spikad till 600 euro, så mkt arbete som möjligt kommer att göras av mig, det enda (hoppeligen) som kommer att lämnas bort är karossjobb, enough said, dags att ta sig an det största projektet hittills. Kommer det att lyckas?
